Class limits :

The lower limit for every class is the smallest value in that class.

On the other hand, the upper limit for every class is the greatest value in that class.

Given class : 36 - 45
Lower limit = 36
Upper limit = 45

Class boundaries are the numbers used to separate classes. The size of the gap between classes is the difference between the upper class limit of one class and the lower class limit of the next class. In this case, gap=36-35= 1

•°• gap= 1

The lower boundary of each class is calculated by subtracting half of the gap value 1/2= 0.5 from the class lower limit. On the other hand, the upper boundary of each class is calculated by adding half of the gap value 1/2= 0.5 to the class upper limit.

Lower Boundary= 36+0.5= 36.5
Upper Boundary= 45-0.5= 44.5

(a) He shifted the pH of the fresh milk from 6 to slightly alkaline to prevent milk from getting sour due to production of lactic acid.

(b) This milk takes long time to set into curd because the lactic acid produced here first neutralises the pH then the pH is reduced to turn milk to curd.
