bur here a×c = b^2 and ac is -ve so square of -ve should be +ve no . this is my only doubt please clear it.
according to graph ,,let root of quadratic eq is p and q then let p is +ve and q is -ve root then according to figure p is big quantity than q so p+q = +ve quantity but p+q = -(b/a) here a>0 means a is +ve for p+q = +ve b must be negative because p+q= -(b/a) so b= -ve quantity
