so basically in the 18th and 19th century, some countries like the UK experienced a massive increase in agricultural productivity know as the British agricultural revolution, which then enabled uncommon population growth, freeing a significant percentage of the workforce from farming, and helping to drive industrial revolution.
since there was limited farming land and area, and population continued to grow there was no space for people to work in the farming industry to earn money to help their family, so many left farming to work for industries to earn a higher income to support themselves and their families.
