During the onset on monsoon.. South Easterly Winds enter India as south West monsoon as they get deflected to their opposite direction when crossing equator due to corrolis force .. these winds enter India into 2 branches : Arabian Sea branch and Bay of Bengal Branch ... the Arabian Sea branch .. one part of it enters through Western Ghats and causes heavy rainfall there as west ghats are high and winds cause rainfall as they strike a thing .. 2nd part of Arabian Sea branch enters through Gujarat part .. this part winds don't cause any rainfall because the winds move parallel to The Aravali range and don't strike anything ...These then reach the Northen Plains .. THE SECOND BRANCH is the Bay of Bengal branch which enters through the Bay of Bengal and moves towards eastern India .. AS it reaches Assam and Garo Khasi Jaintia Area .. there is a Depression present there and winds get trapped in that depression and cause heavy rain fall . When these winds have caused rainfall , they come out and due to presence of high Himalayas .. these move parallel to Himalayas and shed their left out Mousture in their way .. Then they rewatch northern plains..The Bay of Bengal and Arabian Sea branch mix together and cause rainfall in Northern Plains
