A phrase is a group of words. it is used in a sentence to add meaning. There are three types :
1) Noun phrase
2) Adjective phrase
3) Adverb phrase

AbniRaj: Noun phrase - when a group of words does the the work of a noun in a sentence , we call it a noun phrase.

A phrase is a group of words that stand together as a single unit, typically as part of a clause or a sentence.It does not contain a subject and verb and, thus cannot convey a complete thought.
