translation is the synthesis of proteins by ribosomes in the cell. It follows after the process of transcription in which a molecule of mRNA is copied from DNA to produce a specific base sequence. ... Firstly, mRNA binds onto the small subunit of a ribosome.Translation happens in four stages: activation (make ready), initiation (start), elongation(make longer) and termination (stop). These terms describe the growth of the amino acid chain (polypeptide). Amino acids are brought to ribosomes and assembled into proteins.
