(1 - x)(1 + x)(1 +  {x}^{2} )(1 +  {x}^{4} )(1 +  {x}^{8} )
Use,
(1 + x)(1 - x) = 1  - {x}^{2}
So, it becomes,
(1 -  {x}^{2} )(1 +  {x}^{2} )(1 +  {x}^{4} )(1 +  {x}^{8} ) \\ (1 -  {x}^{4} )(1 +  {x}^{4} )(1 +  {x}^{8} ) \\ (1 -  {x}^{8} )(1 +   {x}^{8} ) \\ 1 -   {x}^{16}
