1) Substitution reaction:- The reaction in which an atom or group of atoms in a molecule is replaced or substituted by different atoms or group of atoms .

2) Dehydration reaction:- A conversion that involves the loss of water from the reacting molecule or ion. Dehydration reactions are common processes, the reverse of a hydration reaction. Common dehydrating agents used in organic synthesis include sulfuric acid and alumina. Often dehydration reactions are effected with heating.

3) Neutralization reaction:- Salt is formed when acid react with base.

4) Combustion reaction:- carbon in all its allotropic forms burns in air or Oxygen to give carbon dioxide and releases energy in the form of heat and light.

5) Esterification:- The process of formation of an ester by the combination of an alcohol with carboxylic acid .
