Vectors are said to be equal when their magnitude and direction are same.

Example: 5N force is applied to a block towards right. An another force of 5N is also applied to the block parallel to the previous force.

Here, magnitude and direction of the above vectors are same and hence they are called equal vectors.

Vectors are physical quantities which has magnitude as well as direction.
