By taking 3 as common.
Explanation:-
n+4=3q+4
= 3 (q+1) + 1 = (3q +3 ) are divisible by 3 but leaves remainder 1 .

simply divide 3q +1 by 3
3q+4 divided by 3 , quotient is q+1 and remainder is 1 .
