Please Explain this Numerical :-.

Calculate the weight of quicklime formed when 400g of calcium carbonate is heated. [ Atomic weight : Calcium = 40, Oxygen = 16 ; Carbon = 12 ]​

Explanation:

GIVEN,

Calcium = 40

Oxygen = 16

Carbon = 12

CaCO3 = 40 + 12 + 3 x 16

=> 52 + 48

=> 100g

CaO = 40 + 16 = 56

Now we know the reaction is,

CaCO3 ---> CaO + CO2

100g ----> 56

Now,

When CaCO3 is 400g

Therefore,

Let the amount of Calcium oxide or Quicklime be x.

CaCO3 ----> CaO + CO2

400g ----> x

 =  >  \frac{400 \times 56}{100}  = 224gm
