\huge\underline\orange{\mathcal Solution}

The resultant between two forces say a & b is given by formula :-

\large{\mathcal R={\sqrt{{a}^{2}+{b}^{2}+2abcos{\beta}}}}

\large{\mathcal {\beta = 90°}}

And a=b two forces are equal

So,

\large{\mathcal R={\sqrt{{a}^{2}+{a}^{2}+2a×a×cos90}}}

cos 90° = 0

\large{\mathcal R={\sqrt{2{a}^{2}}}}

\large{\mathcal 1414={\sqrt{2}}a}

\large{\mathcal a={\frac{1414}{1.414}}}

\huge{\boxed{\mathcal a=1000N}}
