(NO MATTER HOW EARLY I RUN HERE TO LOOK IT HAD ALWAYS BEGUN TO FALL THROUGH) so, the author is just trying to tell us that no matter how hard he/she tried it always seemed like it was falling apart,(AND ONE NIGHT WHEN AT BE TIME I CREPT IN TO SEE. IT WAS A FALLING CANDLE TOO.) the last line is just metaphorically comparing the author to the candle and saying, even though the candle is falling apart it's still burning and giving out light and fading the darkness away from his/her life.

so basically the four lines are telling us that we should be like the candle give light in darkness and be positive in tough situations.

this was sooooo long but i hope it helps you understand it better if not that's fine too ✌️
