please explain this

The plant cell shown in figure above shows portions of cell wall of 6 surrounding cells. A thin middle layer (shown as a thick dark line) holds the two adjacent cells together.

this is written in my book and I don't understand this para.

It means that the cell shown is one of the cell from a plant part and is joined to other 6 cells with that middle dark line between the two borders.
