●A neuron or nerve cell is the main Structural and functional unit of a cell.

●Each Neuron has 3 main components:
- Cell body ( cyton )
- Axon
- Dentride

●The cyton is typical cell body having a definate Nucleus and Granular Cytoplasm.

● Dentrides are the Short Tappering Branched processes.

● Axon is a long Cyclindrical Fibre covered with a sheet of Mylin.
