Because theyI know they are cultural icons but I've never heard anything by them that grabs me. I can't relate to them at all. Not to mention big nonpunk audiophiles tote them like some messiah to the the industry and that bothers me. These same people can't tell me anything at all about the brilliance of articles of faith or social unrest. Those bands brought something to the party. Ramones brought what they brought from the first album to the last and it was pretty tame. Not imaginative. They will admit it.
