Answer:

53

Step-by-step explanation:

As given in question sum of both the digits of two digit no. is 8

so,5+3=8

And the no. when reverse and no is subtracted from original no is 18

so,53-35=18

so, Original no. is 53

Answer:

A two-digit number = 53

Step-by-step explanation:

Given,

Sum of digits of a two-digit number = 8

Let,

The unit digit number = x

Tens digit number = y

∴ Two digits number will be 10y + x

∴ Reversing the digits, number will be 10x + y

Now,

According to question

    y + x = 8                      equation ( i )

And

   10y + x - ( 10x + y ) = 18

⇒ 10y + x - 10x - y = 18

⇒ 9y - 9x = 18

⇒ 9 ( y - x ) = 18

⇒ y - x = 2                       equation ( ii )

Adding equation ( i ) and equation ( ii ), we get

⇒ y + x + y - x = 8 + 2

⇒ 2y = 10

 ∴  y = 5

Putting the value of y in equation ( i )

⇒ 5 + x = 8

⇒ x = 8 - 5

∴  x = 3

Hence,

A two-digit number = 10y + x

                                = 10 × 5 + 3

                                = 50 + 3

                                = 53

Therefore,

A two-digit number = 53
