1

Step-by-step explanation:

pq² + q ( p - 1 ) - 1

= pq² + pq - q - 1

= pq ( q + 1 ) - ( q + 1 )

= ( q + 1 ) ( pq - 1 )

Answer:

Given p^2-Q^2=8——————1

P*Q=3 => Q=3/P ——————2

Use equation 2 in 1

We get,

(P^2–3^2/P^2)=8

=>P^4–9=8P^2

Let assume P^2=K

Our new equation is K^2–8K-9=0

(K-9)(K+1)=0

K=9 or -1

But K=P^2, which can't be negative.

So P^2=9

=>P=3 or -3

Case 1(P=3)

We know P*Q=3

If P=3,than Q=1

Case 2(P=-3)

P*Q=3

If P=-3,than Q=-1.
