\LARGE{\bf{\underline{\underline{Given:-}}}}

Total Surface Area of Cuboid

= 160 m²

Lateral Surface Area of Cuboid

= 120 m²

\LARGE{\bf{\underline{\underline{To \ Find \ :-}}}}

• Area of its base

\LARGE{\bf{\underline{\underline{Solution:-}}}}

As we know,

Lateral surface area of a cuboid

= 2(b×h+l×h)

And

Total surface area of a cuboid

 = 2(l×b+b×h+l×h)

= 2(l×b)+2(b×h+l×h)

As we know, Lateral surface area of a cuboid

 = 2(b×h+l×h)

So,

= 2× Area of the base + Lateral surface area

As we know,

Total Surface Area = 160 m²

Hence, 160 = 2× Area of the base + 120

⟹ 2 × Area of Base = 160 - 120

⟹ 2 × Area of Base = 40

⟹ Area of Base = \cancel\dfrac{40}{2}

\implies \boxed{\sf{\pink{ \ Area \ of \ Base \ = \ 20m^{2}}}}

\LARGE{\bf{\underline{\underline{Required \ Answer:-}}}}

Area of the base of a cuboid = 20 m²
