1) Must contain the the important nutrients like carbohydrates,fats,protein etc..
2)Must contain a variety of foods.
3) It should contain important vitamins like vitamin A , vitamin b , vitamin c, vitamin d, vitamin e etc..
And more importantly it must have equal amount of energy giving food, bodybuilding food and protective food.
It also have to contain roughage (fibre) for a good digestive system
