Indirect/Reported Speech refers to a dialogue being said to a third person/reporting what happened to a third person.

Example: She said,"I'm feeling hungry." (Direct)

She said that she was feeling hungry. (Indirect/Reported)

In the above example, when writing in indirect/reported form, the sentence changes according to its tense. Also, modifications regarding certain words like 'today' changes to 'the next day', 'may' changes to might', yesterday' changes to 'the previous day', 'will' changes to 'would' and many other words will have to be made.

Roohi told Meena that there was an exciting magic show in the town. Meena asked her where it would be held. Roohi told her that it was at the Plaza and enquired if she would like to go for that. Meena asked Roohi if anyone was going to see that. Meena asked if she could join her. Roohi was delighted to hear this. She insisted that she should join them. She was sure that they would have fun. Meena asked her who aould get the tickets. Roohi said she would ask her brother to arrange them.

Hope it helps :)
