The cells of stem are made of two types of cells:- Epidermal cells and cortical cells . they
The xylem and phloem are present with in the ring in a vascular bundles.
There are two types of tissues :- simple as well as complex.
Explanation:
- The epidermal cells are present in the outermost layer of stem. They are protective in nature.
- The cortex is made of again two types of cells :- 1. collenchymatous or sclerenchymatous tissues , the tissues which have deposition of lignin , suberins and pectins at the corners and throughout the membrane respectively. These cells have 2-3 layers below epidermis.
2. The rest of cortex is made of simple parenchymatous cells.
- The vascular bundles consist of xylem and phloem which is a type of complex tissue.
- In between vascular bundles multicellular pith made of parenchymatous cells is present.
