Answer:

first we will take triangle AGE,

GE = 4cm

AE = 5 cm

AE² = AG² + AE² ( HYPOTENUS RULE )

5² = AG² + 4²

25 - 16 = AG²

9 = AG²

3 = AG

Therefore , area of triangle AGE = 1/2 × B × H

= 1/2 × 4 × 3

= 6 cm² ••••••(1)

similarly, area of triangle BHF = 6cm² •••••(2)

now we will take rect ABCD,

area of ABCD = L × B

= (AG + GD) × CD

= (3 + 4) × 6 = 7× 6

= 42 cm² •••••(3)

now area of semi circle = 1/2(πr2 )

= 1/2 × 28.27

= 14.13cm²•••••(4)

therefore the area of this figure is ,

(1) +(2)+(3)+(4)

6 +6+42+14.13

= 68.13 cm²

not sure about the calculations but steps are fine ...you can calculate urself or check our answer if you have it at the back of the book
