Hey dear friend,

Speed(rate) of elevator=>6metre/min
Distance from Ground level =240
Time=?

By the formula=>speed=distance/time
=>6=240m/time
= time= 240/6
=>40minutes

perfectly fine pure correct answer

Rate of Descend (per minute) =6m /min.

Now time taken to descend 1m = 1/6 min.

For 1meter 6 minute is Required...
→in 1 minute (1/6)meter is descended...

Now Time Taken to Descend 240m =240×1/6
=240/6=40minutes.
