minus 2 marks are given for find correct answers

no marks are given for question not attempt

Sachin scored 24 with 14 correct answers.

Nalini scored -7 with 9 correct answers.

TO FIND :- Number of answers given incorrectly by both of them.

SOLUTION :-

Let the number of incorrectly answered questions by Sachin be x.

A/Q :- 3 × 14 + (-2) × x = 24

=> 42 - 2x = 24

=> -2x = -18

=> x = -18 / -2

=> x = 18

Sachin gave 8 wrong answers.

Let the number of incorrect answers given by Nalini be y .

A/Q :- 9 × 3 + (-2) y = -7

=> 27 - 2y = -7

=> - 2y = -34

=> y = -34/-2

=> y = 17

Nalini gave 17 incorrect answers.
