since

PQ parallel to RT,

then

angle PQR = angle QTR,. (alternative interior angle),


55° = b,


Now, In ∆PQR, using Angle Sum Property


angle P + angle Q + angle R = 180°,

c + 55° + 80° = 180°,

c + 135° = 180°,


then

c=180° - 135°,

c=45°


now


80° + b + a =180°,

80° + 55° + a=180°,


135° + a =180°,


then

a=180°-135°,


a=45°
