let the no the correct answers be x and the no of incorrect answer be y
by the given statement ,we know that ,
5(x)+-2(y)=total marks
1) on substituting the values we get,
5(4)+-2(6)=20-12=8 marks
2) on substituting the values we get,
5(5)+-2(5)=25-10=15 marks
3) on substituting the values we get,
5(2)+-2(5)+3(0) {as 3 questions were left unattempted we give the statement 3(0)}
=10-10+0=0 marks
by the given statement ,we know that ,
