➡️India has mountains to the north which have an average height of about 6,000 mts.

➡️The Himalayas prevent the cold winds from Central Asia, from entering the subcontinent.

➡️It is due to these mountains that the Indian subcontinent experiences comparatively milder winters as compared to Central Asia.

➡️As we move from the surface of the earth to the higher altitudes, the temperature decreases.

okk

Explanation:

altitude is nothing but mountains hence near mountain places either side of the mountain experience different temperature

places near West side of the mountain will experience low temperature because shadow of the mountain falls on West part. places near East side of the mountain will experience hish temperature because sun rises in the east and places will directly experience sun's temperature
