GiveN :

  • Angle be 30°.
  • Sides right angle is AB , BC and CD.
  • AB = 5 cm.

To FinD :

The sides of AC and BC.

SolutioN :

Let,

  • Angle be θ.

So, For Sides AC

 \tt \dagger \:  \:  \:  \:  \: sin\, \theta =  \dfrac{Perpendicular}{Hypotenuse}

 \tt  \mapsto sin\, 30 =  \dfrac{5}{AC}

 \tt  \mapsto  \dfrac{1}{2}  =  \dfrac{5}{AC}

 \tt  \mapsto  AC = 10 cm.

\rule{90}2

For Side BC

 \tt \dagger \:  \:  \:  \:  \: tan \,\theta =  \dfrac{Perpendicular}{Base}

 \tt \mapsto tan \,30 =  \dfrac{5}{BC}

 \tt \mapsto  \dfrac{1}{ \sqrt{3} }  =  \dfrac{5}{BC}

 \tt \mapsto BC = 5 \sqrt{3} cm

\rule{200}3

MorE InformatioN :

  • Sin 30 = 1 / 2
  • tan 30 = 1 /√3.
