The unique things about Indian culture the world can learn from :
Respect : Indians treat a lot of things with respect . I was once aghast when a Nigerian (with whom I was studying and sitting next ) just threw the book down near his shoes after he finished reading. I immediately picked the book up and touched it to my forehead. He said, Indians were silly in believing that there are gods inside any book. He may have been right but we treated our books with much greater respect never letting our feet touch them. The same holds true for musical instruments, the machines we operate. Its very peculiar of Indian culture. We wont touch an edible stuff with feet. This respect for books, machines or objects which serve us last longer
Eating culture : Once I was arguing with a restaurant manager on why Western technique of using cutlery is more hygienic. He countered - "You can keep your hands nails, clipped cleaned and sanitized before a meal but how can you be sure that a high degree of cleaning for the forks and has been done by the dish washing man. Those forks and spoons go in and out of mouths so many people during the day, do you know what infections they carry ? " Apart from good use of hands for doing this, some other great things are sit down meals. This crossed leg sitting keeps your body more flexible. The food at better organized meals, is kept level higher than you.
Body mopping after bath : The way Indians mop their body after bath is very different from how other people across the world do (touching the body softly with a soft towel at different places ). Indian rub the towel hard. They hold the ends of thin towel, and oscillate it on their back. They also put it between two legs and pull back and forth. see this picture :
