A force is a push or pull on a body.
Example (a)
A force can stop a moving body. When a fielder catches the ball, the moving ball stops.
(b)
A stationary body means a body which is not moving. A force can cause motion. Example,
When a horse pulls a cart, it moves.
The cart was stationary but the pull (force) caused by horse made it to move
(c)
When we try to press a rubber ball, it shrinks.
Also, when we try to fold a square paper, it changes the size of paper.
(d)
When we compress a balloon it changes shape or when we press a dough it changes shape due to force applied by us.
Hope it helps dear friend ☺️✌️
