(Summary)
Base of the story:-
This is a short story by Katherine Mansfield. The story shows a father's big heart and rude attitude to her little daughter named Kezia. She feared her father a lot due to his rude attitude. She only noticed his bad things. At last, she realised her father's big stone heart.

Introduction to Kezia's feelings related to her father at first:-
- In this story, the little girl - Kezia liked to stay away from her Father. Her father's daily routine was gave her a casual kiss before leaving for office. She felt relief when the sound of the carriage (substitute of car in earlier times) became fainter and fainter. She shuttered while communicating with her father.
Sunday routine of her father:-
- On Sundays, her father took rest throughout the day keeping a hanky on his face and putting his leg on a cushion. There were 3 members in their family - Her Father, Mother and Grand mother. Her grand mother told her to spend quality time with her parents. But the reality was different, both remained busy.
Father's Birthday:-
- One day her grand mother told her that her father's birthday was on the next week. The little girl made a pin cushion of yellow colored silk very difficulty. She used her father's important files for stuffing it. In turn, she was punished.
Kezia's thinking about Mr Macdonald:-
- Their neighbour, Mr Macdonald was a good father by Kezia's vision since he played "Tag" with his children (5 children).
Lastly, her father's love and affection for her daughter at that night:-
- After some days her mother went to hospital due to some problems related to her health. Her grand mother also went there. She was alone with her father at that time. At night, she had a bad story as usual of a butcher with a rope and knife. She woke up and cried for her granny. Her father approached and slept aside her and tried to have her comfort. At last, she realised her father's big heart.
