∠BAD = ∠BAE + ∠DAE

= ∠CBE + ∠DAE          since BC is tangent

= ∠CBE + ∠CDE          since DC is tangent

= 180° - ∠BCD             sum of angles in triangle BCD

So opposite angles ∠BAD and ∠BCD are supplementary,

therefore ABCD is cyclic
