Answer:

a = 5, b = -19

Step-by-step explanation:

Among 55 and 210; 210 > 55.

(i)

Since 210 > 55, We apply the division lemma to 210 and 55 to obtain,

210 = 55 * 3 + 45

(ii)

Since, remainder! = 0, we apply the division lemma to 55 and 45 to obtain,

55 = 45 * 1 + 10

(iii)

Since, remainder! = 0, we apply the division lemma to 45 and 10 to obtain,

45 = 10 * 4 + 5

(iv)

Since, remainder! = 0, we obtain the division lemma to 10 and 5 to obtain,

10 = 5 * 2 + 0.

In this step, remainder is 0.

Thus, HCF of 55 and 210 is 5.

Now,

45 = 10 * 4 + 5

∴ 5 = 45 - 10 * 4

       = 45 - (55 - 45) * 4

       = 44 - 55 * 4 + 45 * 4

       = 45 * 5 - 55 * 4

       = (210 - 55 * 3) * 5 - 55 * 4

       = 210 - 5 - 55 * 15 - 55 * 4

⇒ 5 = 210 * 5 - 55 * 19

       = 210 * 5 + 55 * (-19)

       = 210a + 55b.

Therefore, the value of a and b are 5 and -19.

Hope it helps!

HCF of 210 and 55

255= 55×3+45...(1)

55=45×1+10...(2)

45=10×4+5...(3)

10=5×2+0...

HCF of 210 and 55 =5

NOW,from (3) we get,

45=10×4+5

45-10×4=5

45-(55-45)×4 =5 ....(from 2)

45-55×4+45×4=5

(210-55×3)5-55×4=5 ...(from 1)

210×5-55×15-55×4=5

5=210×5-55×19=210A+55B

therefore,
a=5 and b= -19

hope u understood..
Best of luck buddy:))
