Given:-

  • 5 resistors of \large\sf\frac{1}{5} Ohm each.

To Find:-

  • Minimum Resistance.

Now,

  • We know that minimum resistance can be amde by combining all resistance in parallel.

  • Also in parallel,

\sf \mapsto \frac{1}{req}  =  \frac{1}{r1} +  \frac{1}{r 2}....   \frac{1}{n}

So,

• Minimum Resistance,

 =  \frac{1}{5} +  \frac{1}{5} +  \frac{1}{5} + \frac{1}{5}  +  \frac{1}{5} \\  \\  =\sf\cancel 5 \times ( \frac{1}{\cancel{5}}) ohm\\  \\ \sf\large\fbox\pink{ =    1 \: ohm }

▪︎ Therefore the minimum resistance would be 1 Ohm.

More about Resistances:-

  • Maximum resistance can be made by combining it in series.

  • In series Req = R1+R2...Rn.

  • Resistance can be increased or decreased by using rehostat or resistance variable.

  • The Potential Difference accross any resistor can be measured by voltmeter.

  • Voltmeter is always connected in parallel to the resistors.
