Please give answer with full solution.
1. The sum of two numbers is 12 and difference of their squares is 12. What is the difference of the numbers?

Hey mate

given here

sum of two number = 12

so,

let x and y are two number

so,

x+y= 12. ...(1)

Again ,

different of there square = 12

so,

x²-y²=12 ...(2)

or,

(x+y)(x-y)=12

by (1) ,

x-y= 12/12

x-y= 1. ....(3)

equation (1)+(3)

we get

2x= 13

x= 13/2

by (3),

13/2 - y =1

y= 13/2 -1

y= (13-2)/2

y= 11/2
