it is the story by O Henry based on a train to Denver where an elegantly dressed woman named miss fairchild who is very beautiful, perfectly groomed for the journey and then she is accompanied by two people, and one of them was familiar with her and later in the conversation, we get to know that the person was Mr Easton who was an old friend of miss fairchild and was handsome, dashing looking guys perfect for miss fairchild and the other one was a glum, sad and serious looking guy and when they were in a conversation, miss fairchild was little horrified because they both were handcuffed and the glum faced guy noticed it so he interrupted by saying that Mr Easton is a marshal who is taking him to the prison as he is a convict and then miss fairchild believed it and was impressed too, after sometime they both left miss fairchild and went to the smoker room and fairchild too left the train, some of the passengers were observing their conversation and one of them said that Mr Easton is too young to be a marshal and the corrected him by saying that he was not a marshal, the glum looking guy was marshal as no Marshall handcuff himself with the right hand
