Answer:

given p(x) = x³-ax²+6x-a, g(x) =x - a

to find the remainder when p(x) is divided by x - a

put g(x) = x - a = 0

therefore x = a

substitute x = a in the given polynomial and equate it to zero

p(a) = a³-a*a²+6a-a = 0

=> a³-a³+5a = 0

=> 5a = 0

=> a = 0

remainder is zero
