Understanding Concept :-

Congruent triangles :-

Two triangles are congruent if their corresponding sides are equal in length and their corresponding angles are equal in measure.

SAS congruence criteria :-

SAS stands for Side, Angle, Side. This criteria is used to prove that two triangles are congruent if one angle and two sides of both the triangles are equal .

Solutions :-

1) Here,

In the figure you can observed that

The side AB and DF = 5 cm

The side BC and EF = 6 cm

The measure of ΔABC and ΔDFE = 70°

Therefore,

In ΔABC and ΔDEF

AB = DF [ Given ]

BC = EF [ Given ]

ΔABC = ΔDFE [ Given ]

By SAS congruence,

ΔABC congruent to ΔDFE

2) Here,

In this figure you can observe that,

The side AC and PQ = 5.8 cm

The measure of ΔBAC and ΔPQR = 85°

But,

The side AB ≠ QR

Hence, ΔBAC and ΔPQR not congruent

3) Here ,

In this figure you can observe that,

The side NM and PR = 9.2cm

The side LM and PQ = 2.6 cm

But,

ΔNLM ≠ ΔPQR

Here, The measure of ΔPRQ is equal to 40° but it is not corresponding side.

Hence, ΔLMN and ΔPQR are not congruent .
