Lochinvar was a brave knight who arrives unannounced at the bridal feast of Ellen, his beloved, who was about to be married to "a laggard in love and a dastard in war ". Lochinvar claimed one dance with Ellen and dancing dancing he took her out the doors, swooping her onto the horse, and they ride off to the unknown...and was never found again........
