Given:

Energy spent by man, E= 6.4 KJ= 6400J

Displacement of body, s= 64 m

Time taken,t= 2.5 s

To Find:

Force applied by man

Solution:

We know that,

  • Expression of energy E is given by

\purple{\underline{\boxed{\bf{E=F.s}}}}

where,

F is force applied

s is displacement

\rule{190}{1}

Let the force applied on body be F

So,

\longrightarrow\rm{E=F.s}

\longrightarrow\rm{6400=F\times 64}

\longrightarrow\rm{64F=6400}

\longrightarrow\rm{F=\dfrac{6400}{64}}

\longrightarrow\rm{F=100\ N}

Hence, force applied by man on body is 100 N.
