Answer:

i)  This is both, double displacement reaction and precipitation reaction.

ii)

  • A double displacement reaction is a type of chemical reaction where two compounds react, and the positive ions (cation) and the negative ions (anion) of the two reactants switch places, forming two new compounds or products.
  • A precipitation reaction refers to the formation of an insoluble salt when two solutions containing soluble salts are combined. The insoluble salt that falls out of solution is known as the precipitate.

iii)  The reactants that participate in the reaction are BaCl₂(Barium Chloride)  and ZnSO₄(Zinc Sulfate).

iv)  The precipitate formed is BaSO₄↓(Barium Sulfate) that is an insoluble solid.

v)  ZnSO₄ is probably more reactive.
