To find :-

  • Side of Square = ?

Solution :-

  • Length of wire(L) = Perimeter of Rectangle

==> Perimeter of Rectangle = 2(l + b) = 2(40 + 22)

==> 2 × 62 = 124cm

Hence,

  • Length of Wire (L) = 124 cm

Now,

  • Side of square = x

Length of wire(L) = Perimeter of Square

  • Perimeter of Square = 4x

  • Perimeter of Square = 4x = 124

  • ==> 4x = 124 ==> x = 124/4 = 31 cm

Now,

2nd part of Qus:-

To find:-

==> Area of Rectangle = l × b = 40 × 22 = 880cm^2

==> Area of Square = x × x = 31 × 31 = 961 cm^2

  • Square encloses more area than rectangle.
