3) the spiral part is known as cochlea . cochlea interprets the sound produced so that we can hear it and also sends signals to the brain through the auditory nerve

4) tympanum (ear drum ) it collects the vibrations from the surrounding and transmits it into the ear with the help of ear ossicles(malleus incus stapes)
