Explain About Star Topology

Answer :

Star Topology is used in LAN (Local Area Network). In star topology all the nodes are connected to a central connection point. Which can be Hub or Switch. These type of topology is used commonly in homes network. Or in a building or schools, etc.

Advantages :

• It is easy to troubleshoot .
• If any node fails, then whole network didn't get affected .
• Fault Detection in any node can be identified easily.

Disadvantages :

• Difficult to expand.
• More cables are used.
