HCF of any two consecutive natural numbers is 1. because the difference between two consecutive numbers is one & if the HCF is greater than one the the two consecutive numbers has to be divisible by that number which is not possible.

The HCF of two consecutive even numbers is 2.

Highest common factor HCF of two consecutive odd numbers is always one 1. Between their factors 1 is common so their highest common factor HCF is 1. Hence their HCF is also 1.
