Explanation:

B) shows the correct v-t graph as a ball thrown vertically upwards get some initial velocity at first but after some times, it's velocity comes at zero when it stops in the air.

Then, gravitational force comes into play which attracts the ball towards the earth and this increases the velocity of ball again, as shown in figure B) above.
