iv) ∆ xyz is right angle triangle were xz is hypotenuse

so , by Pythagoras theorem

xz² = xy² +yz²

xz² = (12)² +(5)²

xy² = 144+25

xy² = 169

xy = 13

now in triangle ypx were at angle p is right angle

so by Pythagoras theorem

yx² = pz²+ yp²

(12)² = (6.5)²+yp² (given yp is a median)

yp² = 144 - 42.25

yp² = 102.25

yp = 5√5 approx
