Hi ,

**************************

we know that ,

area of the triangle = ( bh )/2

where ,

b = base ,

h = corresponding height

****************************************

It is given that ,

<ABC = <DCB = 90°

AB = 6 ,

DC = 8 ,

∆ABC/ ∆DCB = [ ( BC × AB )/2 ]/[ ( BC × DC )/2 ]

= AB/DC

= 6/8

= 3/4

I hope this helps you.

heya...!!!!!

given that:-

<ABC = 90°

so the area of triangle
= 1/2(base × perpendicular height

=> area of ∆ABC = 1/2(AB × BC)

=> 1/2(6 × BC)

similarly,

<DCB = 90°

area of ∆DCB= 1/2(8 × BC)

NOW,

(area of∆ABC) / (area of ∆DCB) = [1/2(6 × BC) / 1/2(8 × BC)]

=> (6×BC)/(8×BC)

=> 6/8
