i) 2x-3 = 2 is to the power 4
so,
2 is to the power x-3= 2 is to the power 4
(if the bases are same, the powers can be equated).
x-3 = 4
x = 4+3
x= 7.
ii) 3 is to the power x = 1/3 is to the power 3
3 is to the power x = 3 is to the power -3
(if the bases are same, powers can be equated)
x = -3.
so,
2 is to the power x-3= 2 is to the power 4
(if the bases are same, the powers can be equated).
x-3 = 4
x = 4+3
x= 7.
